The Academy

The underlying philosophy of the program is to create “a love for the game that is everlasting and unending with participants giving back to the sport as they grow and develop.”

The program would promote the game of Netball, maintaining young women’s participation and encouraging the development of young men’s participation in the sport at a variety of levels, including athlete, coaching, managing and umpiring pathways.

Kearnan College is unique in that it is a Kindergarten to Year 12 campus with many students completing their entire education at the college. We have the opportunity to run a Netball Specialist Academy in the secondary school that also develops a pathway for our younger students in the junior school Academy.

Kearnan College Academy is an endorsed Tier 2 specialist school. This gives our students the unique opportunity to develop their pathway through high performance competitions with other specialist schools throughout the state.  Our development program has enabled many students to be successful in gaining selection in development, regional and even state representative teams.

Community Development

Kearnan College are proud to develop the players, umpires and coaches that compliment the surrounding associations. Bridgetown, Manjimup and Pemberton Associations all benefit from our students returning to their local community to be an integral part of their netball community.

Giving Back

Kearnan Academy love to get on the road and foster a “love for the game” with our younger developing athletes from our surrounding communities. We believe we create wonderful “resources” through our Academy and Certificate II Sport Coaching programs. Our coaches and umpires LOVE working with our junior students and this can also been seen in our community sport, where many of our students lead the NSG programs after school.
