Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at Kearnan College. We take the role we play in the education of the young people in our care seriously and always aim to work collaboratively with parents and guardians to make each child’s school experience enjoyable and fruitful.
Whilst we are unapologetically a Catholic school, we welcome families from all backgrounds and beliefs. One of our primary aims is to assist our young people to grow into adults that demonstrate Gospel values, such as kindness, respect, forgiveness and gratitude, and who have a desire to be of service to others and to do good in the world. These goals are universal, regardless of cultural and religious contexts.
Pre-Kindy Enrolments
We welcome applications for entry into our Pre-Kindy program for children who are already three, or will turn three during the calendar year. A spot will be held until their birthday.
In Semester Two 2026, we are offering our Pre-Kindy program on both Tuesdays and Thursdays and students may attend one or both days. Our program is free of charge and entry preference will be given to those who intend to send their child to Kindy (4-year-old) at Kearnan College.
If you would like to apply for Pre-Kindy:
- A Pre-Kindy Entry Form should be completed and submitted to the school along with the child’s Baptism certificate (if applicable) and Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) History Statement that is not more than two months old. Entry applications cannot be processed without these documents.
- The principal will review all submitted Applications for Entry and invite applicants for an interview.
If you have been invited for an interview, here are the documents you will need to supply:
- PK-12 Student Information Form
- Birth certificate
- Passport/Visa/Citizenship certificate (if born outside Australia)
- Parents’ Citizenship or Visa documents (if both parents born outside Australia)
- Parenting, restraint or custodial orders
- Information about medical (or other) diagnoses that may impact the student at school
K-12 Enrolments
The College’s main intake years are Kindy and Year 7, however enrolment applications for other year levels are welcomed at any time.
Please read our Enrolment Procedures for K-12 classes. This document will give you all the information you will need to apply to secure a place for your child at the College.
If you would like to apply to the College:
- A K-12 Application for Enrolment form should be completed in full and submitted to the school along with a copy of the prospective student’s Baptism certificate (if applicable) and Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) History Statement that is not more than two months old. Enrolment applications cannot be processed without these documents.
- When places become available, the Principal will review all submitted Applications for Enrolment and invite applicants for an interview.
If you have been invited to an interview, here are the documents you will need to supply:
- Parents/guardians will be required to complete a PK-12 Student Information Form.
- Students entering Years 4-12 will need to complete a Student Reflection form.
- These should be submitted to the school at, or before, interview, along with (where applicable):
- Birth certificate
- Last two terms’ school reports
- Most recent NAPLAN results
- Passport/Visa/Citizenship certificate (if born outside Australia)
- Parents’ Citizenship or Visa documents (if both parents born outside Australia)
- Parenting, restraint or custodial orders
- Information about medical (or other) diagnoses that may impact the student at school
- Parish Priest reference (if applicable and if a Catholic)
Once you are offered a place at Kearnan, you will be asked to complete two more forms:
- Confirmation of Entry Form
- Data Collection Form
